8. The Britney Spears tribute. It was a bit short for my liking, and I couldn't understand why she was praising someone else during her acceptance speech. But still, it was a well deserved tribute. Would've been superb if she gave Joe a little peck on the lips. LOL.
9. Beyonce rubbing her baby bump at the end of her "Love on Top" performance.
10. The Amy Winehouse tribute. Bruno Mars did a great job with singing "Valerie."
On the upcoming cover of VMAN, Kanye West (for Karl Lagerfeld) will have official dollar bills stuffed in his mouth for its "No Risk, No Reward" issue. Talk about putting your money where your mouth is. So what's the verdict: ooh la la or eww la la? kanYe West and Rhymefest are going to co-executive produce a puppet show for Comedy Central.
Billboard magazine said a pilot episode had already been filmed, and featured new music from the Grammy-winning star. West was also the host but, if the show is commissioned, it will have a new presenter each week - like the Muppets. Producers on the program, which has the working title Alligator Boots, include South Park writer Jon Kimmel.

Actor-comedian and Peabody Award winner Bernie Mac has passed away. "Actor/comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital," his publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement. "No other details are available at this time. We ask that his family's privacy continues to be respected." Mac was 50 years old. The comedian was first hospitalized with the illness back on Aug. 1 and was initially said to be "responding well" to treatment. A spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner's office confirmed to E! News that Mac had been a patient for "over a week" and that he died Saturday of "natural causes." While Mac also suffered from sarcoidosis, an autoimmune disorder that causes inflammation in the lungs, his battle with pneumonia was not said to be connected with the disease.
for our generation he will be remembered for contributing his voice to kanYe west's first two albums, his 'Bernie Mac Show' which i used in a class to demonstrate how he broke the wall between the audience and the screen, and as one of the "Kings of Comedy'. he will truly be missed.
the two artists (including Wyclef Jean) will be performing at the Democratic convention in Denver. other appearances include Obama's e-mail buddy Scarlett Johannson and Ben Affleck to name a few. aaaaannnnddd the event is sponsored by brew busters Coors and Anheuser-Busch. get busy Denver!!
the show was craaaaazzzyyyy!!! i did my best to keep away from as much info about it as possible just so i could enjoy each surprise that was in store. so if you don't want to know about it, then feel free to just skip this and watch the video for a taste. for everyone else, let's proceed. the show opened with Lupe Fiasco which was a shock, but i guess it made sense. i'm sure majority of the crowd expected Rihanna to be the first to go on, but after "Umbrella"... but Lupe did his thing and got the indoor and outdoor crowd warmed up.
next to bat was n.3.r.d. seeing the trio perform was a definite treat since i've been a fan since "In Search Of" and i'm glad i got the opportunity to check them out. they had me glowing literally. all the jumping and "spazin'" had me sweating. then there was a special dude on stage spazin' to, well..."Spaz". he had on a hoodie at first and when he took it off and put his face to the video camera the projected on two huge screens, it was non other than Chris Brown. not going to lie, i felt like i was 18 years old all over again.
the group was followed by the lady of the house, ms. Rihanna. this girl is so gorgeous. i've seen her perform once when she opened for Sean Paul in NYC and that can't even compare to last night. the energy, style, and the choice to not lip-synch was very good. she also threw in some M.I.A. and Lauryn Hill tracks to mix things up a bit. but, I do have one question; now was it just me or did she not perform "Take A Bow"? i doubt i was that wrapped up in the moment to miss it, but i really don't recall hearing it.
and finally, mr. West and his spaceship Jane were out. watching his set was like being at the planetarium and following kanYe along with his portfolio of songs as the theme music. he was able to put his songs together and create a story that flowed so easily instead of just busting out tracks back to back. after performing the Grammy version of "Hey Mama" (which i felt like i was the only one who knew the song because i was the only one yelling the opening part out as he sang) he paused on stage and Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" played. i'm sure it's a part of his set, but being a Jersey resident with an auditorium of fellow NJ peeps, that was a cool touch (oh how i miss the Sopranos). kanYe's set ended with "Touch the Sky", so whoever missed Lupe before was able to catch him for about a minute for his verse.
all in all the show was awesome. when i found out about the tour i knew that i would be going one way or the other. i had great company and i was able to see acts that i always wanted to see in one night. if i could say one thing to k-weezy it would be "thank you" for all his music, imagination, even cockiness because sometimes you need that in this world to get to where you want to be. in return, i'm sure he would gladly say, "...you're welcome." ;)

so here's what's going on with mr. skateboard P.; there's a remix out for "Everyone Nose" ft. k. west, Lupe Fiasco, and Pusha. i heard this on the Angie Martinez show today where Pharrell and kanYe were on chit chatting. sir Williams and Lupe will also be in an upcoming issue of Complex magazine. my friend (we'll just call her "M" because i don't want to get her into type of trouble lol) will be helping dress them for the shoot. when i get some juice on the two sexy stars i will definitely share.
sooo as i'm typing this i know a lot of you are at MSG enjoying the Glow in the Dark Show. don't worry... my turn is in 4 days!!!
so i was online when my friend Jenine from LA sent me an IM saying "damn kanYe and Alexis broke up." i didn't believe her until she sent me the link to People magazine and i saw it before my eyes. apparently Alexis spoke the mag as she was quoted saying, "I wish him the best in his future and all of his endeavors. He's one of the most talented people I've ever met." now that's a classy lady.
