She came in at number 11 and I can tell you personally she's a good twitter buddy to have. so i was on the BGP site and saw that Princess of the Posse dropped the new Fall '08 line. i attended the Goldmine Fashion show last month where P.O.P. was one of the featured designers and there were some pretty cute pieces strolling down the runway. above is a pic from the show and as you can see i need a better camera that takes great pictures in motion :(

P.O.P. lanch party pt.2

so a few weeks back i posted the flyer to the Princess of the Posse launch party at Anchor in NYC. i went and had the chance to meet a good handful of people that i always chatted with online: Radio Rose (Around the Way Girls), Annie (Cubannie Links), KayBe & Jennifer (P.O.P.), and my girl Jewels (Bubblegum Pony*s). so it was a productive yet fun time. the pic above is of myself rockin' the 'Bamboozled Tee' with ms. KayBe and you can see more pics on their MySpace page. btw they gave out a sick swag bag with a tote, tee, earrings, P.O.P. sticker and some yummy goodies. ohhhh and yessssssss I GOT MY SCARF!!

my friend Jewels has put these really cute "I Love NY" totes for your pleasure. it's a spin on the classic "I Heart NY" logo, but with a ghetto girl at heart twist (pun intended). these totes come in many different colors and are a good size to carry your flats, water, mags, makeup bag, umbrella, and a snack in. they retail for $25--not bad at all.

me CL earrings are here and i adore them. they are so cool and well put together. i had been checking for them for about a week and the poor package got soaked in the pouring rain on monday, but fortunately they were safe and secure in their little package. i know for a fact i will be ordering more from Annie... i got my eyes on those Twistas....mhhmmm those will definitely be poppin' off this summer!!

i've always enjoyed artwork. but ever since i began taking my photography class this semester at Rutgers University, it's been hard for me to just look at a picture/art the same way. i can't just say, "oh that's nice." nuh-uh... i look at lines, colors, angles , patterns... all that. the first piece i saw of Takun's was "I Heart Obama". i checked out some of his other work and noticed that he does have a good range as far as the usage and non-usage of color. some pieces look as though they're bleeding with water colors, yet others have very intricate lines and details. i also enjoy how his work reflects modern pop culture from music, politics, to sex tapes. but enough of how much i like it, form your own opinion and check out his MySpace by clicking here.
