Santogold... official

the first time i heard Santogold's voice was on a Mark Ronson track called "Pretty Green." but now i've been playing her new cd for the past 24 hours and i haven't had to skip a song... it's just that good. my favorite tracks are: "Anne", "I'm a Lady", "You'll Find a Way (remix)", "Say Aha", and "Shove It (switch remix)". this music video came out in March and is titled "L.E.S. Artistes." enjoy!!

me CL earrings are here and i adore them. they are so cool and well put together. i had been checking for them for about a week and the poor package got soaked in the pouring rain on monday, but fortunately they were safe and secure in their little package. i know for a fact i will be ordering more from Annie... i got my eyes on those Twistas....mhhmmm those will definitely be poppin' off this summer!!

UPN x In Living Color

so it's possible that i'm late on this one, but oh well.. so i came home this evening and turned on my telly and saw Queen Latifah rapping. ok nothing out of pocket there (except that she hasn't come out with a song in a minute). but then i'm looking at her clothes, then i catch the song, then i see the set she's on and then it hits me, "oh snap!", it's In Living Color!. now i know that BET runs the comedy but there's just something about it being on regular television that makes it cooler. i remember on sundays my whole family (me, my mom, my cousins, uncles, and grandma) would gather around just to watch the show. though some characters did freak me out, ie. Fire Marshall Bill, i absolutely love this show and i'm very happy that it's resurrecting itself into more homes.

ps. you know you had a crush on SW-1 and wanted to be a Fly Girl.... don't front!!!

is that package for me? : FOREVER 21

i've been in need of a regular everyday bag that can go with about 90% of my wardrobe and won't break my pockets. i simply love FOREVER 21 and knew that they would have a bag that would suit my needs. i went on their site and fell in love with the Kensington bag. so i made a trip to 34th St. in NY and figured that would have it-- ehh wrong!! there was an array of bags, but not what i wanted. while looking around the three floor shop i also came across some cute headbands in colors that just reminded me of ice cream. but, some of the headbands were missing from the set. so i figured it would just be best to go back home and order the bag and headbands online. now they're here and i love them. i get so many compliments on both items and people always ask how much the bag is. when i disclose the price they're jaws drop. loves it!!

mood scarf

i kinda stole this from Nylon mag's MySpace bulletin. BUT, they were talking about shirts. fM is talking about scarves. now i vaguely remember when people were wearing T's that change color according to one's body heat. however if you don't remember (or weren't even born to live through it) the time has come again. ANZEVINO and FLORENCE are bringing color change back...yeah!! those solid colors don't know how to act... yeah!! lol, i tried :/

daddy's little Cyrus

the Cyrus family are causing some controversy. this and some other pics for the upcoming Vanity Fair magazine are making people think Miley is growing up a little too fast. some pictures show the "Hannah Montana" star wrapped in sheets looking very grown up-- the actress/singer is only 15 years old. but i want to discuss the picture with her father, Billy Ray, that some say alludes to some sexual reference. this is where i step in. can't a father and daughter take a picture together and hold hands? at what age do you stop leaning on you dad-- literally and figuratively? do we live in that sick of a world? i have more to say... but how about you? sound off!!
